Associate membership is now available — a new way to join the CFA Institute and CFA Society Switzerland community. Associate membership offers a credible first step into the investment industry, helping you build momentum, expand your network, and demonstrate your commitment to the highest professional standards.

 

A note for current CFA Society Switzerland candidate members

Nothing changes right now. Your current candidate membership remains fully active until its expiration date, and you will continue to enjoy the same benefits and access as before. When your membership comes up for renewal, you will have the opportunity to join as an associate member, giving you access to CFA Institute global network and resources while continuing to benefit from everything CFA Society Switzerland offers locally.

Eligibility

Associate membership is available to anyone who has participated or is currently participating in a CFA Institute educational program, including certificate holders, registrants for a CFA Institute certificate, and individuals currently enrolled in the CFA® Program.

The membership is especially suitable for professionals who are early in their finance careers and looking for a credible foundation and access point into the investment industry. For more senior professionals, we recommend exploring professional membership.

Associate membership replaces the previous candidate membership program and broadens eligibility for membership.

Associate membership options and fees

You can add this membership directly to your shopping cart during checkout. Three associate membership options are available:

 

Associate membership with CFA Society Switzerland only

12-month membership: USD 105, equivalent to CHF 80 at the applicable exchange rate as of June 2026.

 

Combined CFA Society Switzerland and CFA Institute membership

12-month membership: USD 105 for CFA Society Switzerland plus USD 149 for CFA Institute, for a total of USD 254.

 

Associate membership with CFA Institute only

12-month membership: USD 149. Please note that, in this case, you are not eligible to attend member-only events, such as the regular after-work drinks of CFA Society Switzerland, or receive CFA Society Switzerland member discounts for paid events.

Approximately four times a year, we organize free fireside chats and invite senior finance professionals to share their experiences with candidates.
