The new event series “How to Succeed in Finance” organized by CFA Society Switzerland offers a platform where CFA Society Switzerland “Candidate Members” can benefit from the experiences of well-known financial professionals in leading positions.

In our next event, seasoned investment private banking specialist Julien Froidevaux, CFA ( Piguet Galland & Cie ) will speak about the necessary skills both soft and technical for a career in finance, the importance of continuing your education and how to handle the challenges of a career that might not always follow a straight line. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to address your questions at the end of the event and interact with a leading finance professional.

The event aims to offer CFA Switzerland Society Candidate Members the opportunity to glance at successful careers in finance and finding inspiration for their professional development.

The event will take place from 18:30 to 19:30 in Geneva, registration starts at 18:00, followed by networking drinks.

Julien Froidevaux, CFA

Julien Froidevaux, CFA

Julien Froidevaux is currently heading the Independent Asset Manager Desk of Piguet Galland & Cie. He enjoyed similar positions in the past with HSBC, UBS, and Lombard Odier. He started his career over 30 years ago with Arthur Andersen. Julien is also a lecturer at Université of Lausanne (HEC), teaching Financial Analysis in the Corporate Finance track of the Master in Finance. He is a founding member and past president of CFA Switzerland. Julien is a frequent contributor to the local financial media; he notably published a book in 2018 on the independence in wealth management and recently contributed to a chapter in a book on wine aesthetics. Julien is a Swiss citizen who lived and studied on several continents; he is married with one child. He holds a BSBA in Finance and International Business from The American University, Washington D.C., a Master in Law, Economics, and Management from Université Savoie Mont-Blanc, and a PhD in Management from the University of Geneva (GSEM). He also holds the CFA and CWMA designations, as well as the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
