Jakob Schaad is partner at LINDEMANNLAW and responsible for Government Relations & Lobbying. His expertise is the shaping of regulatory developments throughout all executive and legislative levels both in Switzerland and internationally. Jakob holds a doctorate in economics of the University of Zurich with maximum mention. During his long and distinguished career, before joining LINDEMANNLAW, he held several senior positions at the Swiss National Bank and the International Monetary Fund, advised the Swiss Minister of Economic Affairs as Economic Policy Advisor during the global financial and economic crisis, served as the Deputy CEO of the Swiss Banking Association, worked as Vice Director of Avenir Suisse and advised an innovative wealthtech during its buildup. Jakob is fluent in German (including Swiss German), English, and French, has school knowledge in Italian and basic knowledge in Russian.
Markus Winkler is Counsel and member of the Financial Services Practice Group of Pestalozzi Attorneys-at-Law in Zurich. His practice focuses on regulatory compliance of products and processes in financial services, especially in combination with technology-related applications. Before entering legal practice, Markus worked for more than 10 years at UBS in various business roles, including product management of fund-based portfolio management and multi-manager solutions as well as cross-border compliance. He holds degrees in law and mathematics and is a CFA charterholder since 2004.
