Job summary 

We are a small team in an international, dynamic work environment in the financial services industry. We offer a range of products and services for continuous education to our 3`600 CFA members, CFA candidates and other interested parties in Switzerland (please check our website www.cfasocietyswitzerland.org for more details). Our office is located in Zurich.

We are looking for an Event Manager to join our team as of 1 February 2026 (60–100%). Expected to travel occasionally within Switzerland. 

 

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

 Event management 

  • Responsible for conceptual planning, organisation and execution of multiple events, workshops, including pre- and post-event activities, marketing plans, analysis, and reporting for physical or digital activities. Deliver and organise all events and projects in a smooth and controlled manner
  • Ensuring smooth communication with all concerned stakeholders (volunteer teams, speakers, sponsors, contractors, etc)
  • Contract and budget management
  • Proficient use of digital event platforms and tools for the detailed planning, realisation, and execution of various events 
  • General support for other events organised by team colleagues

Project and marketing management

  • Input into the development of new business events and activities to enhance CFA Society Switzerland's offerings
  • Plan and implement marketing and communication plans to ensure the correct positioning of CFA Society Switzerland and CFA Institute events, services, and learning products; write creative, engaging, and accurate content for the promotion of events, services, and learning products, ensuring brand values are demonstrated consistently through all communications

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of event management experience 
  • At least two years’ B2B and B2C marketing experience and campaign delivery across a range of channels, including social media and email marketing
  • Can-do, pro-active attitude, willingness to learn
  • Highly reliable and responsible
  • Well-developed organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, methodical approach, attention to detail, problem solver, the ability to prioritise in a changing environment, follow-up, and meet deadlines 
  • Polished and professional when dealing with external and internal partners
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented team player
  • Creative flair and mindset to ‘think outside the box’
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is advantageous, especially German and French)
  • Swiss citizenship or a valid work permit
