UBS CFA Indicator stays positive

  • The UBS CFA Indicator fell by 9.5 points to 2.6 in September but remained in positive territory for the third consecutive month. More analysts continue to expect the Swiss economy to improve over the coming quarters than deteriorate.
  • Financial analysts reassessed their inflation outlook in September. In Switzerland, around 50% expect the inflation rate to rise over the coming quarters.
  • This was also accompanied by a reassessment of short-term interest rates. One in three analysts now expect short-term interest rates in Switzerland to rise versus none in August.
