Bringing investment expertise into the public debate

CFA Society Switzerland works to strengthen trust, integrity and professionalism across the Swiss investment industry. As an independent not-for-profit organization representing more than 3,700 investment professionals, we draw on the knowledge and practical experience of our members to contribute to important regulatory and industry discussions.
 
Our advocacy work includes responding to legislative and regulatory proposals, developing research and practical recommendations, and contributing a Swiss perspective to international initiatives led by CFA Institute. Through this work, we aim to support well-functioning capital markets, responsible investment practices and better long-term outcomes for investors and society.

Explore the EU and National Blueprints
CFA Institute and its European member societies have identified key priorities for the 2024–2029 legislative period. The blueprints cover the resilience of capital markets, financial technology, business conduct, sustainability and pensions. CFA Society Switzerland contributed its perspective on the issues most relevant to the Swiss market, including sustainable finance regulation, professional standards and the governance and investment practices of pension funds.

Investment Governance at Swiss Pension Funds

Strong investment governance is essential to the long-term success of Swiss pension funds. This position paper provides practical guidance for boards of trustees and pension fund management. It addresses the definition of roles and responsibilities, the selection and oversight of external providers, the management of conflicts of interest, and the skills and resources required for effective investment decision-making.
