Dr. Bolko Hohaus, CFA, Founder and CEO of HCP Asset Management, has combined investment expertise with a background in technology throughout his career. He founded HCP Asset Management in 2016 to focus on innovative machine-learning technologies—well before generative AI entered the mainstream.

Dr. Bolko Hohaus, CFA
Dr. Bolko Hohaus, CFA, is an experienced investment professional with more than 30 years in asset management and a strong focus on innovation. A CFA® charterholder, he holds a Ph.D. in economics, specializing in macroeconomics and game theory, as well as a master’s degree in statistics and computer science from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
During his career, Dr. Hohaus managed institutional portfolios representing several billion in assets at Allianz and led a SIX Swiss Exchange-listed investment company with Bank am Bellevue.
From 2002 to 2016, he worked at Lombard Odier, where he led teams managing technology, long/short, commodities, and clean technology funds. In 2016, he founded HCP Asset Management to apply innovation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to the asset management industry.
He has received several industry distinctions, including awards from Lipper, S&P, Euro, and Morningstar. Dr. Hohaus is a frequent speaker on innovation and artificial intelligence and serves as a board member of SICTIC, a Swiss business angel network focused on technology investments.
