Most performance development focuses on building skill — expertise, intelligence, and capability. But in real-world environments, performance outcome is determined not only by the level of skill someone possesses, but by their ability to reliably access that skill under pressure, and in the ordinary moments that make up most of a working day. And composure is the variable that disrupts access to skill.
Composed Performance™ is a science-informed framework for defining, measuring, and managing Composure Risk — the likelihood that composure disruption will reduce access to capability. It is designed to enhance individual and team decision quality and performance under pressure and in ordinary moments — by improving composure and access to skill.
Modern professional environments are volatile, cognitively demanding, and relentless. Composure disruption doesn't only happen in the boardroom pitch or the high-stakes negotiation — it happens constantly, in routine meetings, difficult conversations, and flat afternoons, often without anyone noticing it's happening at all.
As pressure and pace continue to intensify, the ability to maintain reliable access to skill — consistently, in every kind of moment — is becoming one of the defining differentiators of sustained high performance. The new competitive edge. Not more intelligence. Not more experience. But better access to the intelligence and experience already there.
This is not a theoretical session. Participants will engage directly with the mechanisms of composure through live demonstration and guided practice, built around the five scientifically-established regulatory levers of composure: Breath, Voice, Body, Focus, and Mindset.
Participants will leave with real techniques they can use the same day — not concepts to remember, but practices to apply.
