Job summary 

We are a small team in an international, dynamic work environment in the financial services industry. We offer a range of products and services for continuous education to our 3'500 CFA members, CFA candidates and other interested parties in Switzerland. Our office is centrally located in Zurich-Seefeld (trams 2 and 4, buses 916 and 33).

We are looking for experienced  Event and Marketing Manager to join our team (80-100%). Expected travel occasionally within Switzerland. Flexible home and office work.

 

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

 Event management 

  • Responsible for all aspects of conceptual planning, organization and execution of multiple events, conferences, workshops, incl. pre and post-event activities, marketing plans, analysis, and reporting for physical, hybrid and/or digital activities. Deliver and organize all events and projects in a smooth and controlled manner
  • Ensuring smooth communication with all concerned stakeholders (volunteer teams, speakers, sponsors, contractors, etc)
  • Contract and budget management, and invoicing
  • Proficient use of digital event platforms and tools for the detailed planning, realization, and execution of various events 
  • General support for other events organized by team colleagues

Marketing 

  • Plan and implement marketing and communication plans to ensure the correct positioning of CFA Society Switzerland and CFA Institute events, services and learning products
  • Execute marketing and communication plans, including the development of a range of marketing collateral, content and campaigns, and include a focus on the effective use of social media and digital marketing tactics 
  • Content manage the website and social media platforms and write creative, engaging and accurate content for the promotion of events, services and learning products, ensuring brand values are demonstrated consistently through all communications 
  • Work with colleagues to establish and use relevant branding and designs for event publicity  

Project management 

  • Input into development of new business events and activities to enhance CFA Society Switzerland offerings
  • Coordinating teams of volunteers
  • Ensure all activities are recorded onto the customer relationship management system (CRM) and documentation is filed in accordance with operational standards and processes 
  • Project reporting including, where required, attending and presenting at internal and external meetings (including Board meetings)
  • Support of general administrative duties, including, email and phone inquiries 

 

Qualifications:

  • Event management experience (ideally in the financial service sector) 
  • At least two years’ B2B and B2C marketing experience and campaign delivery across a range of channels including social media, email marketing, direct marketing (ideally in the financial service sector)
  • Computer literate (database, spreadsheet, word processing, website content development and social media tools) 
  • Can-do, pro-active attitude, willingness to learn
  • Highly reliable and responsible
  • Well developed organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, methodical approach, attention to detail, problem solver, the ability to prioritise in a changing environment, follow-up and meet deadlines 
  • Polished and professional when dealing with external and internal partners
  • Customer focused and service-oriented team player
  • Creative flair and mindset to ‘think outside the box’
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is advantageous, especially German)
  • Swiss nationality or residency (with eligible work permit to work in Switzerland)
